Fall Invaders

Summer is over. The days are getting shorter, and the nights are getting cooler. Most people agree that the one good thing about our cold climate is the end of the buggy season. Not so fast! There are a whole class of pests known as fall invaders. Winter is coming, and they have a plan. While most fall invaders are harmless, they are a major nuisance, and they can cause problems in larger numbers. 

The brown marmorated stink bug is the most recognizable fall invader, but this group also includes many other pests. Cluster flies, boxelder bugs, spiders, and even wasps will all try to overwinter in the nooks and crannies around your home. These voids often allow access to the interior of your home.

 Exterior treatments are highly recommended in the early fall to keep unwanted pests out. While treatments are not 100 percent effective, routine treatments will heavily reduce activity levels. The focus is on the upper perimeter and exterior junctions that are not sealed properly. My exclusion services can also help with fall invaders!
